Barbara A. (Russell) Grant, 74, of Worcester, died on Saturday, April 9th in St. Vincent Hospital.
Barbara was married to the late Richard W. Grant for 29 years until his passing in 2009. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Louis J. and Mary R. (Rugeni) Russell and is survived by many cousins, nephews and nieces. Mrs. Grant will be most missed by her canine companion, Dandy.
Barbara was happiest when she was spending time in her garden, reading a good book, or cooking for her family. For those who knew her, they always understood that Barbara was the “Captain of the Ship”.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 16th at 10 AM in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Burial will be at a later date with her husband at St. John’s Cemetery and the family requests that memorial contributions in memory of Barbara be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League 139 Holden Street Worcester, MA 01606.
