Obituary

LEICESTER; Richard W. Augusto, Sr., 69, of 4 Atwood St., Cherry Valley, passed away peacefully at his home, with his family by his side after a long battle with Vascular Disease.
He leaves his wife of 34 years, Joan I. (Dufresne) Augusto, a son, Richard W. Augusto, Jr. and his wife Rebecca of Auburn, two daughters; Kim M. Mattei and her husband Sean of Cherry Valley, Tammy L. Augusto of Worcester, two step-children; Deborah and Richard Binkley both of Worcester, a brother, Michael Augusto of Milbury, two sisters; MaryAnn Augusto of Worcester, Jean Brick of Las Vegas, NV., 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers, John and Raymond Augusto and two sisters; Helen Clifford and Carol Matthews.
Born in Worcester, he was the son of John & Marie Rose (Gagne) Augusto.
Mr. Augusto was a graduate of Shrewsbury High School.
He retired as a foreman from Iron Workers Local 57 after 31 years.
He owned and operated Joneseys Cafe on Cambridge St. in Worcester from 1989-1998. He also drove a truck for Bally Alliance Gaming for 10 years in NV.
Richard enjoyed spending time with his family and friends playing the board game "Risk", shooting darts and building puzzles.

The Funeral will be held Saturday, April 16 from the MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester, with a Mass at 10 A.M. in St. Pius X Church, 1153 Main St., Leicester. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester.Calling hours are 4-7 P.M. Friday in the funeral home.
