MayDell Holder Morris, age 92, died Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the Golden Living Center in Eupora, MS. She was born April 27, 1923 in Finger, TN to the late Jesse and Laura Ann Holder. May was a homemaker and of Baptist faith. MayDell was a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family and grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2016 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 12, 2016 in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Rev. Max Blackwelder officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Crest Memorial Garden Cemetery in Yalobusha County, MS with Brandon Pruitt, Hunter Pruitt, Christian Pruitt, Joshua Morris, Jeff Madison and Joseph Madison serving as pallbearers. Roy Stevens, Danny Pruitt, Allan Holder, David Stevens, Al Stevens and Dyle Daughdrill will serve as honorary pallbearers.

MayDell is survived by her daughters, Betty (Rev. Max) Blackwelder and Dorothy Marbry all of Eupora, MS and Debbie (Bob) Cartwright of Holladay, TN; two sons, Jesse (Juana) Morris, Jr. of Water Valley, MS and John (Paula) Morris of Oxford, MS; her brother, Aaron Holder of Water Valley, MS; twenty-one grandchildren and thirty-two great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Willard Morris, Sr.; her sisters, Mildred Stella, Marie Holder and Sara Holder; and her grandson, Brian Kirk Morris.
