LEICESTER-Barbara J. (Normile) Casey, 73, passed away on Sunday, April 3rd. Barbara leaves her husband of 47 years, Kevin E. Casey; four children, Michael Casey and his wife June of Waltham, Megan Baker and her husband Andrew of Leicester, Amy Adler and her husband David of Charlton, Ellen Casey of Leicester, and; six grandchildren, Samantha and Connor Casey, Aidan and Nicholas Adler, Molly and Abigail Baker; four siblings, Nicholas Normile of Averill Park, NY, Maryann Mohr of Kirkland, WA, Ellen Lauzon of Schodack Landing, NY and Thomas Normile of New York and many nieces and nephews.
Barbara was born in Troy, NY daughter of Nicholas and Nellie (Newman) Normile. She graduated from The College of St. Rose in Albany, New York. Barbara was a teacher in Troy, New York and Auburn Public Schools. Barbara was a member of St. John’s Church. She was a New York Yankees fan, enjoyed gardening, trips to Maine with her husband and most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Visiting hours for Barbara will be held on Wednesday, April 6th from 4:00 until 7:00 pm at CALLAHAN~FAY~CASWELL Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 7th at 10:00 am at St. John’s Church, 40 Temple St., Worcester. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery.
