Obituary

WORCESTER-Robert J. “Bobby” Laperle, 51, died Monday, March 28, 2016 due to a seizure disorder. Bobby was predeceased by his mother, Ann R. (Hannan) Laperle and his sister, Cheryl O’Sullivan in March, 1998.

He is survived by his father, James F. Laperle, Sr. and six siblings; Janet A. Laperle of Worcester, James F. Laperle, Jr. and his wife June of Minneapolis, Dennis J. Laperle and his wife Stacy Jablonski of Worcester, Dr. Robin A. Taher and her husband Akbar of Shrewsbury, Sgt. Charles H. Laperle and his wife Melanie of North Brookfield and Monique E. Girard and her husband Shawn of Worcester; many nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces; several uncles, aunts and cousins. Bobby also leaves his loving caregivers, Emmanuel and Mercy Ndebeh and their children, Eastman and Emel, whom he loved; a step sister, Paula Westberry and her husband Chuck, and two step brothers, Stuart Vincent and his wife Jackie and Eric Vincent and his wife Jeannette; and many step nieces and step nephews. He was also predeceased by his stepmother Patricia Laperle.


Bobby was born in Worcester, was a member of Christ Baptist Church and attended the St. Francis Day Program for 19 years. He was a hard worker and currently worked in the maintenance department with HMEA, Inc. and formerly at the Occupational Training Center.


Bobby was active in the Special Olympics, participating in shot-put, basketball and baseball and he belonged to the Bedrock Bowlers for over 20 years. He was a master Rubik's Cube solver, enjoyed going out to eat, shopping and going for walks with his sister. He enjoyed watching Monday night WWE wresting and his favorites programs on ME TV and TV Land; especially Law & Order, The Three Stooges, The Incredible Hulk and most recently, Little Big Shots. Bobby was not only a hard worker; he was very smart and had an incredible memory. He had a big heart and was always very eager to lend a helping hand to his family, friends and neighbors.


Memorial visiting hours will be held Sunday, April 10, from 2-4 pm followed by a service at 4pm at Christ Baptist Church, 24 Granby Road. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bobby’s memory may be made to the Bedrock Bowlers (checks made out to AMF)and mailed to Monique Girard, 4 Ventura Rd., Worc., MA 01604.
