His earlier years were spent in Worcester, MA where he attended Worcester Public Schools. The family later moved to Sutton, MA where Kenneth finished his education in the Sutton School District.

Ken is survived by his wife of 42 years, Janice (Stafinski) Bourgeois. He is also survived by his son Jeffrey Bourgeois and his wife Gina; three grandsons Malcolm, Bradley and Nicolas all of Seattle, WA; a brother Raymond Bourgeois of Florida; many nephews and nieces, including a niece Laurie (Allen) Archambault and a nephew Johnathan Allen, numerous relatives and countless close friends. Ken worked his earlier years for local construction companies and then worked for the City of Worcester, in the Department of Public Works for 31 years retiring in the capacity of General Foreman in 2008.

Ken belonged to the Worcester Pistol and Rifle Club and enjoyed motorcycles, especially his Harley Davidson on which he took many rides and attended Bike Rallies throughout the United States. He was a man that lived life to its fullest every day and all the way up until his final days, he did it his way.

Kens’ wife Janice and son Jeffrey would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Robert Ferguson and Dr. Fergusons nurse Annie, along with all the other staff associated with the Millbury Internal Medicine Group for the outstanding care, compassion and love they showed and shared with Ken. They would also like to give a special thanks to Dr. David Shepro, the medical staff at UMass Memorial Medical Center - Memorial Campus, and to thank members of the Davita Dialysis Center on Glennie Street in Worcester for the wonderful care Ken received over the many years of his dialysis treatments with special thanks to Ed and Gina.

He had many wonderful, fun filled years enjoying times spent with family and friends.

Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.
