Mary L. Randall, age 85, died Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at North Delta Hospice in Southaven, MS. She was born May 31, 1930 in Booneville, MS to the late John W. and Annie Bell Nicholson Skelton.
Mary was a homemaker who enjoyed tending her flower and vegetable gardens, fishing and making memories with her grandchildren. She was a member of Centerhill Church of God in Strayhorn, MS, and served in many capacities of her church. Mary was a strong prayer warrior with a kind and compassionate heart; but her passion was benevolence, and she was always looking for ways to help those in need. A graveside service will be held Friday, March 25, 2016 at 2:00 pm in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley, MS with Rev. Bill Shelby and her grandson, John Randall officiating. John Randall, Brandon Glasscock, Garrett Bynum, Dustin Person, Cody Person and Trey Pipkin will serve as pallbearers. Drew Scala, Blake Scala, Luke Bynum and Emmett Person will serve as honorary pallbearers. Mary is survived by her daughters, Betty Perrine of West Palm Beach, FL and Carol (Freddie) Moorman of Water Valley, MS; her sons, David L. (Myra) Randall of Southaven, MS and Sammy Randall of Horn Lake, MS; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; her special puppy, “Sassie”; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Clinton L. Randall; two sisters; and seven brothers. The family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or to the American Veterans Association. | ||||
