Hilda Jones Kenneth, age 84, died Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Yalobusha General Nursing Home in Water Valley, MS. She was born October 22, 1931 in Coffeeville, MS to the late Ed and Estelle Briscoe Jones.

Hilda was of Methodist faith and was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved to cook and enjoyed working outside in her flower and vegetable gardens.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 26, 2016 from 1:45 pm until 2:30 pm at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. A Graveside service will be held following the visitation at 3:00 pm on Saturday, March 26, 2016 in the Elam Cemetery in Coffeeville, MS with Bro. Keith Burney officiating. Jay Allen, David Hall, Ronnie Perkins, Steven Sadler, Bill Lloyd Shaw, and Jordan Smith will serve as pallbearers.

Hilda is survived by her daughters, Helen Lane of Cascilla, MS and Doris (Harold) Shaw of Senatobia, MS; six grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Melvin Kenneth; her daughter, Margaret Sadler; and two sisters, Helen Brown and Jane Breland.
