Edgar C. Harris, 65, of Worcester, died Wednesday, March 16th with his family by his side. He is survived by his daughter, Aneatra Comeau and her husband, Christopher of Oakham; three brothers, Donald Rutherford and his wife, Sandra of Punta Gorda, FL, David and Robert Rutherford both of Worcester; three sisters, Linda Rutherford and Lillian Bonsra both of Worcester and Bonnie Rutherford of Rutland; three grandchildren, Jabari Harris-Jones, Oliver and Dallas Jones and a great-granddaughter, and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his son, Aron Harris; two brothers, Ronald Harris, Loman Rutherford and three sisters, Clara Harris, Carolyn Foster, and Shirley Bloncson.
He was born in Worcester and raised in Rutland by Loman "Jake" Rutherford and his wife, Virginia (Wade) Rutherford. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran serving in Vietnam. Edgar was an accomplished drummer and an avid martial artist.
His memorial service will be held, Saturday, March 26th at Noon in O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
