Obituary

Boylston: Frank Reale, Jr, 81 passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Rose Monahan Hospice surrounded by his loving family.

Frank was born in New Bedford, son of the late Francisco and Angelina (Bellotti) Reale. He graduated from New Bedford High School and earned his Masters of Education from Fitchburg State University. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He spent his 36 year career teaching Industrial Arts for the Framingham School System. He also served three terms as Selectman for the town of Boylston, as well as serving on various town committees. One of his proudest accomplishments was recently getting the town’s approval to build the new Highway Garage which has since been named in his honor. He was a member of St. Mary of the Hills Church. He enjoyed giving advice to his family, going to Florida and Italy with his wife, vacationing in York Maine and on the Cape with his family, coffee with the “boys” at the Boylston Deli, and Sunday coffee at the Fire Barn. His greatest pleasure by far was attending his grandchildren’s sporting events, and watching Timothy and Kevin play hockey for Algonquin Regional High School and Brett play for the Minuteman Flames.

He leaves his wife of 57 years, Theresa (Tavano) Reale; son, Michael and his wife, Jamie; son Steven and his wife, Christine all of Boylston; his former daughter-in-law Jodi Reale of Northboro. He is also survived by his four grandchildren, Timothy, Kevin, Brett, and Alison; a sister Inez Simmons and her husband Gilbert of Peabody; nieces, Joanne McGarvey and Linda Simmons; and a grand-dog Casey.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 19th at St. Mary of the Hills Church 620 Cross St., Boylston, with a walk through from 10-10:30 am and a funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
