Obituary

Worcester - Donald R. Green, 87, of 101 Chadwick St. died Friday, March 4, 2016, in the Rose Monahan Hospice Home.

His wife, Agnes (Anderson) Green predeceased him in 1992. He leaves two sons and a daughter, Richard D. Green and his wife Ellen of Worcester, Cindy (Green) Murdock and her husband James of Tolland, CT, and David S. Green of Brewster; a sister, Elnor Fisher of Lancaster; sister-in-law, Mary Anderson of Webster; brother-in-law, Ralph "Sully" Sullivan of Uxbridge; six grandchildren, Kristen, Katelyn, and Cassandra Murdock, Travis Rafferty, and Kiah and Tiana Green; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was born in Worcester, son of Clarence and Jennie (Olson) Green. He was a U.S. Navy Korean War Veteran (1949 - 1953) and served aboard the USS Willard Keith. Don was a machinist at Norton Company, and he was a member of Greendale People's Church and the Oxford Lodge A.F. & A.M. Prior to moving to Colony III, he lived on Ridgewood Rd.

Services will be held Tuesday, March 8, in Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St. Calling hours will be held from 10:30a.m. - 12:30p.m. The funeral service will be at 12:30 p.m. Entombment will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rose Monahan Hospice Home, 10 Judith Rd., Worcester MA 01602.
