DUDLEY – Frances K. (Mroczek) Mikolajczak, 98, died Tuesday, March 1, 2016 in Shrewsbury Nursing and Rehabilitation in Shrewsbury.
She leaves her husband of 73 years, Thomas A. Mikolajczak; 2 grandchildren, Kenneth Diaz and his wife Joan of Shrewsbury and Susan Zawacki and her husband Mitchell of Plainville, CT; 3 great-grandchildren, Arielle Bocanegra, Max Diaz and Isaac Diaz; nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Pellegrini in 1996 and by her 7 brothers and sisters.
She was born in Dudley a daughter of Thomas and Mary (Piasta) Mroczek and was a lifelong resident.
Mrs. Mikolajczak worked as a stitcher at the Waterhouse Company in Webster before retiring to raise her family.
She was a communicant of Saint Andrew Bobola Church. She and her husband enjoyed traveling, she was an avid reader and had a love of gardening. Her greatest treasure was the time she spent with her family.
The funeral will be held Monday, March 7, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Saint Andrew Bobola Church, 54 West Main Street. Burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:30 AM Monday, March 7 in the funeral home.
