Auburn – Nancy M. (Champagne) Johnson, 74, of Auburn, died in the Saint Francis Home on Tuesday, March 1st after an illness.
Nancy was married to the late Gary A. Johnson who died in 1994. She is survived by 3 sons, Gary A. Johnson II of Cherry Valley, Jerry Johnson and William Johnson both of Worcester; 5 daughters, Barbara LeFrancois of Worcester, Jean Ducharme of Worcester, Bobbie Jo Chamberlain of Auburn, Robin Johnson of Auburn and Tammy LeBlanc of Virginia; 2 brothers, Edward Champagne of Oxnard, CA and William Champagne of Worcester; 14 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
Nancy was born in Worcester, daughter of Edward and Alfhild (Nordstrom) Champagne.
Mrs. Johnson enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family, especially at cookouts and cooking for them.
The funeral will be held on Friday, March 4th at 11 AM in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Worcester, with burial to follow in All Faiths Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 3rd from 5 to 8 PM in the funeral home. Nancy had a special love for animals and the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Worcester Animal Rescue League 139 Holden Street Worcester, MA 01606.
