Mary M. (Joyce) Donahue, 96, of Northborough died Monday, February 22nd in Marlborough Hospital. She leaves her husband of 57 years, John J. Donahue; a son, David M. Donahue of San Francisco, CA; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, John, Thomas, and Philip.
She was born in Clinton the daughter of John and Ella (Mortimer) Joyce. Mary graduated from Regis College and Worcester State College with a Master’s Degree in Education. She was a member of St. Columba Church and the Regis Club. Mary was a teacher in the Worcester and Paxton Public Schools for over 40 years, retiring in 1983.
Her funeral is Friday, February 26th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester with at Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Columba Church, 10 Richards Avenue, Paxton. A calling hour will be held from 9:30 until 10:30 AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Regis College, 235 Wellesley St, Weston, MA 02493.
