Stanley F. Butnes, Jr., 85, of Leicester, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 10th in the Rose Monahan Hospice Home. He leaves his wife of 62 years, Carolyn J. (Canane) Butnes; a son, Lee F. Butnes of Worcester; a daughter, Debra M. Butnes of Worcester; a son in law, Eamonn Bard of Leicester; and a great grandson, Gage Bard. He was predeceased by his daughter, Sandra Bard and his two grandchildren, Scott Muncy and Jillian Bard.
He was born in Leicester, the son of Stanley and Anna (Zablo) Butnes and attended Leicester schools. He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Butnes was a rigger for the Hallamore Company for many years before retiring.
