Obituary

WORCESTER: Carole J. (Maxfield) Deneault, 77, died at home on Wednesday, February 10, 2016, after a long illness. She leaves two sons, William M. Bagley and James H. Bagley, both of Leicester, four daughters, Carole Jane Little of Texas, Florence T. Bagley of Worcester, Helen E. Bagley of Worcester, BethAnne Whitney of Spencer; her sister, Elizabeth K. Sargent of Auburn; 10 grandchildren; Raymond, Daniel, Danielle, Vincent, Eric, Bryan, Victoria, Griffen, Olivia, Liam; 2 great grandsons, Anthony and Dominic; a niece, Sarah, and a nephew, William. She was born and raised in Worcester, daughter of the late Henry F. Maxfield and Helen E. (Kennedy) Sargent. She was a graduate of David Hale Fanning High School and lived in the Worcester area all of her life.
Carole was a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked at Worcester State Hospital for many years, until retiring in 2007. She was a long time member and past-president of AFSCME Union Local 137, a former member of the Worcester State Hospital Board of Trustees, a life long Democrat and long time member of the Worcester Democratic City Committee. She was a recipient of the Ted Kennedy Labor Award and was also presented with a Key to the City of Worcester.
CALLING HOURS are 5 to 8 P.M. on FRIDAY, FEB. 12 in KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln St. A FUNERAL MASS will be held at 10 A.M. on SATURDAY, FEB. 13 in OUR LADY OF THE ANGELS CHURCH, 1222 Main St., followed by burial in St. John’s Cemetery.
