Patricia M. Miller, 68, of Abbeville, Georgia, died Saturday, February 6, 2016, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at Christian Home Baptist Church in Wilcox County, with the Rev. David Clark officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Wilcox County. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Monday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Miller was born August 5, 1947, to the late Raymond Harris Peters and the late Inez Elder. She attended school in Wilcox County and received her nurse’s training at Ben Hill Irwin Tech. She worked for many years as an LPN at Taylor Regional Hospital in Hawkinsville. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children and their spouses: Angie & Lloyd Bloodworth, Tim & Natalie Miller, and David Miller, all of Abbeville; four grandchildren: Ashley & Jamie Handley, Phillip Bloodworth, Dakota Miller, and Carly Miller; two great-grandchildren: Eli Handley and Evan Handley; and her siblings: Sara Hockensmith of Fitzgerald, Mike & Dorethea Peters of Richmond Hill, James L. Gibbs of Fitzgerald, Sudie Elder of Adel, Ed & Rae Elder of Fitzgerald, Charles & Elaine Elder of Fitzgerald, and Ethel Lois & Robert Simmons of Vienna. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Robert Lewis Miller and two brothers, Randall Peters and Danny Elder.
