Obituary

Boylston, MA - Rita R. (Goudreau) Fuller, 83, passed away peacefully January 26, 2016, surrounded by her loving family at Reservoir Center for Health and Rehabilitation in Marlborough. She was preceded by her husband Clayton Fuller in 1999, her sister-in-law, Aldine Bemis, and her brother-in-law, Robert L. Fuller. She leaves four children- Thomas Fuller and his wife, Amy, of Northborough, Brenda Fuller of Hickory Creek, TX, Jonathan Fuller and his wife, Sue, of Leicester, and Randall Fuller and his wife, Tammy, of Jacksonville, FL.; five grandchildren - David and Stephen Rios, Joshua Fuller, Nikki Gigstead and Jason Fuller; nine great-grandchildren; her sisters-in-law Martha Bigelow and Jean Kokernak (and husband Charlie), as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and special friends. Rita was born and raised in Dudley, daughter of Arthur J. and Julia M. (Semensky) Goudreau and lived most of her life in Boylston before moving to Northborough. Rita graduated from Bartlett High School in Webster where she was a member of the National Honor Society. She loved music, reading, the warmth of the sun, nature, gardening, and her many feline companions over the years, especially her beloved Pija. She was a secretary and administrative assistant in the Worcester area, retiring in 1992. Rita also served as a volunteer for many area charities. She was a former trustee of the Boylston Public Library, and a Secretary and Honorary Director of the Library's Foundation. She was a Life Member, past Treasurer and Director of the Boylston Historical Society. Rita also greatly enjoyed her friends at the Sudbury Opera Lover's Organization.

Calling hours will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester on Sunday, Jan. 31, from 2-4pm. A memorial service in her honor will be held at the First Congregational Church of Boylston on Monday, Feb. 1, at 11am, followed by a gathering in Fellowship Hall. Following cremation, burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Webster will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Boylston Ambulance Fund, Town of Boylston, PO Box 634, Boylston MA 01505 or the MA Audubon Society, 208 S. Great Road, PO Box 9102, Lincoln MA 01773.
