Obituary

June M. (O'Connor) Lavin, 82, of Worcester, died Tuesday, January 26th in the Christopher House, with her family by her side. Her husband, William D. Lavin died in 1955. She is survived by her two sons, William D. Lavin, Jr. of Worcester and Joseph G. Lavin and his wife, Roseann "Cookie" of Shrewsbury; two brothers George O'Connor and his wife, Barbara of Worcester and Francis O'Connor of Uxbridge; her granddaughter, Kaileigh Lavin of Shrewsbury and many nephews and nieces. Two brothers, James and Edward O'Connor and three sisters, Mildred Beckwith, Dorothy Drake and Gertrude West predeceased her.

She was born in Worcester, the daughter of George and Rose (Cotton) O'Connor, Mrs. Lavin had worked for Catholic Charities as a home health care aide. She was a member of St. Peter's Parish.

Her funeral is Saturday, January 30th from O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with her funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Peter's Church, 931 Main Street. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Calling hours are from 8:00 until 9:30 the morning of the funeral in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to Susan G.
