Obituary

RUTLAND- Steven Mark Russo, 60, passed away on Sunday January 24, 2016 at Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital.

Steven was born in Worcester on September 12, 1955 a son of the late Rocco J. and Barbara C. (Blake) Russo. His family resided in West Boylston and he was a graduate of West Boylston High School. For over 20 years Steven worked for the Saint Gobain Company in Worcester in their Research and Development department.

An avid golfer Steven enjoyed playing at Wachusett Country Club in West Boylston and was also a member of the “Tour of the Brookfields” golf league. In his early adulthood he played in many local softball leagues. A true “Dead Head”, Steven was the ultimate fan of the band Grateful Dead, having attended more than 100 concerts.

Steven will be missed dearly by his brothers Michael J. Russo and his wife Mary, John F. Russo and his wife Eileen; sister, Nancy A. Russo and her boyfriend Mark J.Bryden; Step-children, Michael P. and Brittney A. Meagher; his former wife, Julie A. Russo; two nephews, Brandon P. and Brett R. Willson; his niece, Bethany E. Willson; Many aunts and uncles and many cousins.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday January 28th from 6:00 until 8:00pm at FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 WEST BOYLSTON ST., WEST BOYLSTON. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday January 29th at 10:00am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, 111 Worcester St., West Boylston. Burial will follow at Mount Vernon Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Steven’s name may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 10 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701
