CULLINANE, Mary (Connolly) of West Roxbury, January 15, 2016 at the age of 89. Beloved wife of the late Arthur J. Cullinane, Boston Fire Dept. Loving mother of Richard J. Cullinane of Abington, Jean Joyce and her husband Paul of Dedham, Patricia Cullinane of West Roxbury, Marymargaret Burke and her husband Deacon Tom of Randolph, Susan Condrin and her husband Paul of Dover and Daniel P. Cullinane and his wife Stacey of Raynham. Devoted sister of Ann Houhoulis of Avon, Patricia Burke of West Roxbury, the late John Connolly, Ellen Halkyard and Kathleen “Kay” Mahoney. Dear Gram of Tim Joyce and his wife Samantha of Taunton, Justin Joyce and his wife Jessica of Foxboro, Caitlyn Cullinane-Lynn and her husband Bob of AK, Tom Burke Jr of Randolph, Edmund Burke of Abington, Amanda Condrin and Alexandra Condrin both of Dover, Kaila Cullinane of Whitman, Breanna Cullinane of Holbrook, Jordynn Cullinane and Haley Cullinane both of Raynham. Great grandmother of Karsyn Joyce and Sophia Joyce. Daughter of the late Patrick and Ellen “Nellie” (Maher) Connolly. Mary was born in Boston and was a graduate of Roslindale High School. She was a retired Library Assistant for the West Roxbury Public Library, and previously worked for the DeCelle’s Stores. She was a longtime member of St. Theresa Parish as well as the St. Theresa Senior Group. She loved cooking, crocheting, needle point and knitting. She also enjoyed traveling and traveled to; Ireland, Germany, Alaska, Canada, Bermuda as well as many day trips with the Senior’s Group. She was an avid reader and read the paper every day and was always up to date on current events. Mary will be greatly missed by all those who were blessed to have known her, especially her friends at the Edelweiss Village. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of the German Center for their compassion and care of our Mother. Reposing at William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre Street, West Roxbury until 11AM on Friday followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM in St. Theresa of Avila Church, West Roxbury. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4:00 – 8:00PM Burial at a later date in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
