BREEN, Mary G. (Waible) lifelong Mission Hill resident, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on January 12, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Patrick G. “Jerry” Breen. Loving mother of Paul J. and his wife Therese of Roslindale, Mary P. of Mission Hill, Steven C. and his wife Tracy of Arlington, Thomas P. and his wife Deborah of Goose Creek, SC, Kenneth J. of Northboro, Beth A. Holman and her husband Ken of Allston, and the late James G. Devoted grandmother of Tommy, Patrick, Edward, Joseph, Ryan, Kenneth, John, and Charlie. Sister of Ruth Plunkett and her husband Richard of Middleborough, and the late John Waible and Joseph Waible. Sister-in-law of Barbara Waible and the late Brenda Waible. Also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home 2055 Centre St. WEST ROXBURY, Monday, January 18th at 8:30am, followed by a Funeral Mass in the Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help “Mission Church” at 10 o’clock. Visiting hours Sunday 4-8 pm. Relatives and friends invited. Interment Holyhood Cemetery Brookline. Mary was a longtime member of the choir and a soloist for many years at the Basilica. And also a longtime member of the Mission Hill Theatre Group. Mary had a wonderful group of friends that she travelled the world with who are lovingly known as the Selfish Club who have been with her through thick and thin, through the laughter and the tears. She loved them all. We would like to express our love and thanks to her dear friend, Mary Fitzpatrick, who was always there for her.
