Obituary

WEST BOYLSTON- Veranda A. “Lil” (Renzoni) DeSanti, 98, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2016 at Beaumont Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Westborough in the presence of her family.

Lil was born in Holden on January 26. 1917, a daughter of the late Ermette and Francesca (Pedini) Renzoni. She attended local schools and began working at the age of fourteen to help provide for their family.

Mrs. DeSanti was a talented local artist who not only enjoyed painting, but took great pleasure in teaching her gift to others. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed cross-country skiing. She was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Good Council where she attended daily mass, and where she was also a member of the Our Lady of Good Council Women’s Club. Above all she treasured the time spent with her family including making traditional Italian Sunday dinners, teaching them to make homemade pasta, and hosting many cookouts.

Lil is survived by her loving children, Raymond J. and his wife Ellen DeSanti of West Boylston; Jeanne S. Peeso and her husband William of Northborough; 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Arturo, son, Ernest A. DeSanti, and her grandson, Peter DeSanti. She is also predeceased by four brothers, Aldo, Anthony, Dino and Joseph and her sister, Josephine Allen.


A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 14th at 11:00AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish,111 Worcester Rd., West Boylston. In accordance to her wishes there are no public visiting hours. Donations in her honor may be made to Our Lady of Good Counsel Church. FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 West Boylston St., West Boylston is assisting the family with arrangements.
