Emily (Ventura) LeBlanc, 64, of Worcester, died Sunday, January 10th in her home after an illness. She leaves her husband, Anthony J. LeBlanc; three sons, Alvin P. Ferreira and his wife Chaunette of Ohio, Paul H. Ferreira and his wife Amy-Jo of Worcester, and Raymond J. LeBlanc of Worcester; two daughters, Kim M. Brady and her husband Anthony of Fall River and Tanya L. Woodward and her husband Robert of Worcester; 15 grandchildren, Mikey, Keke, Drew, Josh, Paulie, Matt, Tiffany, Amber, Samantha, K'dence, Raymond, Bryant, Peter, Austin and Jose; 3 great granddhildren, Jaxzon, Travis, and Amiyah Emily; many siblings; nephews and nieces.
She was born in Acushnet, the daughter of Antone and Ruth (Maciel) Ventura and graduated from New Bedford High School. She moved to Worcester in 1985 and worked for Catholic Charities for 15 years, before retiring in the early 1990's.
Emily and her family would like to thank the VNA Care Network & Hospice of Worcester, especially to Giselle, Vanessa, and Marilyn for caring for our mother and not treating her as just another patient. Emily also wanted to thank her God-sent of a daughter in law, who was also her caretaker, Amy-Jo Erickson. If it wasn't for Amy, our mother would not have remained alive as long as she had.
