James Michael “Mike” Tate, age 56, went to see the Lord on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. He was born February 24, 1959 in Greenville, MS to James A. Tate and Roma Dell Trusty Taylor. Mike had an active and fulfilling career as a masonry brick layer and cattle farmer. His favorite place to visit was Gatlinburg, TN, especially Cades Cove National Park. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding in the “Dodge” with his beloved dogs, Mia, Belle and Lucky.
He is survived by his daughter, Tiffany Tate of Cordova, TN; his parents, James A. Tate (Ginger) of Water Valley, MS and Roma Dell Taylor (James) of Water Valley, MS; a brother, Glenn “Buck” Tate of Southaven, MS; two sisters, Tammy Johnson (Jeff) of Water Valley, MS and Michelle Mahaffey (Tray) of Douglasville, GA; and his favorite uncle, Jerry Tate of Water Valley, MS. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. | ||||
