Lawrence D. Boothby, 87, of Worcester, passed away Wednesday, January 6th in the Overlook Healthcare Center, Charlton. He leaves his children, Brian D. Boothby and his wife Michelle of Spencer, Lisa M. Boothby of East Conway, NH, Pamela Nadreau Deming and her husband, William of Spencer, Pamela A. Mason and her husband James of Leicester and Deborah L. Cutting of Worcester; 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He is predeceased by a his first wife, Elizabeth Bolduc and his second wife, Pauline W. (Winslow) Boothby and a son, Larry D. Boothby.
He was born in Gardiner, ME, the son of John and Mildred Boothby and was machinist at Norton Company for 34 years, before retiring in 1995. Mr. Boothby was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed bowling, the Red Sox and the Patriots. Larry loved watching his grandchildren play sports and spending time with them.
Calling hours are Saturday, January 9th from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM in O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue followed by a service at 12:00 PM. Burial will be held in Notre Dame Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472 or to the Activities Fund at Overlook Masonic Health Center, 88 Masonic Home Road, Charlton, MA 01507.
