Doris M. (Mason) West, 81, passed away on Sunday, January 3rd with her family by her side. Doris leaves behind her 3 boys, Kerry J. Mason of Worcester, Michael G. Mason of Lehigh Acres, FL and Kevin J. West and his partner, Donna Zapasnik of Worcester; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She also leaves her sister-in-law, Louise Mason of Oxford. She was predeceased by her brother Leo.
Doris was born in Worcester the daughter of Oliver and Cecile (Veneau) Mason. Doris worked at the former Summer’s World Program serving the City of Worcester and at the News Room for years but mostly took care of her there boys, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Graveside Service for Doris will be held on Thursday, January 7th at 11:00 am at Notre Dame Cemetery, 162 Webster St. There are no visiting hours. Arrangements are in the care of CALLAHAN, FAY & CASWELL Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St. Memorial donations in Doris’ name may be made to St. John’s Food for the Poor Program, 44 Temple St., Worcester, MA 01604.
