Obituary

WORCESTER-Elaine M. (Brunette) Kosky, 70, of Worcester passed away Saturday, January 2 at UMASS Medical Center.

Her husband of 30 years, Wayne C. Kosky died in 1993. She leaves three daughters, Barbara L. Dupre and her companion, Edward T. Richards of Riverside, RI, Beverly M. Scobie and her husband, George of Auburn and Karen L. Lebel and her companion, John P. Sokol of Worcester; seven grandchildren, Catherine, Wayne, Jake, Cameron, Benjamin, Olivia and Lilly; three great-grandchildren, Alexzandra, Maverick and Christian; a brother, Richard Brunette of West Palm Beach, FL; a sister, Patricia Walsh of Auburn and nieces and nephews. Her longtime companion, David M. McHugh passed away in 2014. She was predeceased by seven siblings, Ernest, Eleanor, Marion, Gladys, Raymond, Gloria and Janet. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Ernest and Marion (Murphy) Brunette and graduated from Commerce High School.

Elaine was a field investigator for the Massachusetts Department of Labor and Industry for 28 years, before retiring. She enjoyed, gardening, playing cards on Wednesdays and taking care of her cats. Elaine especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, golfing in various leagues on all the local courses and time spent hanging out with her girlfriends. Elaine will be remembered as a friend to all, who was always generous, caring and quick to help others in their time of need.

Visiting Hours will be held Thursday, January 7 from 4 to 7PM with a Prayer Service at 645PM at LINDQUIST LUNDIN Funeral Home, 36 Butler St. Burial will be private in All Faiths Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to, the Worcester Animal Rescue League,139 Holden Street, Worcester, 01606.
