WORCESTER-Teresa A. (Auntie T.) Roberts, 83, died Thursday, December 31, 2015 at the Christopher House of Worcester. She was born in Ware, daughter of the late Raymond H. and Anna A. (Deroska) Roberts and was predeceased by her sister Nora McKiernan in 2011. Teresa is survived by four nieces; Anne Belhumeur, Cathy Knox and her husband Kevin, Patty Mello and her husband Michael, and Mary Reed and her husband Ray; a nephew, Michael McKiernan; and many great and grand nieces and nephews.
Teresa graduated from North High School, Anna Maria College and earned a Master’s in Education from Worcester State College. She taught in the Millbury school system for five years and the Worcester Public School system retiring after 33 years. Teresa was a longtime and active member of St. Peter’s Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister, taught CCD, and belonged to the Legion of Mary, Friendly Visitors, and the parish bowling league. She liked traveling and spending summers in Maine and winters in Florida.
Teresa’s family would like to thank the staff at the Christopher House for the wonderful care they provided.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2016 from CALLAHAN FAY & CASWELL Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester, with a Mass at 10:30 AM at St. Peter’s Church, 931 Main Street. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery. A visiting hour will also be held on Saturday from 9:00-10:00 AM at the funeral home.
