SPENCER: Erik J. Breitenfeld 51, of East Charlton Rd., passed away peacefully Saturday, December 26 in his home, surrounded by his loving family, after a two year battle with lung cancer.
He leaves his wife of 26 years, April D. (Rabitor) Breitenfeld, his daughter Marissa D. Breitenfeld and her fiance Alberto Clark, his son Devin E. Breitenfeld, and his daughter Victoria E. Breitenfeld all of Spencer, his father Dennis Breitenfeld and his wife Phyllis of Sturbridge, a sister Laura Pauplis and her husband Mark of Leicester, five grandchildren Jaidyn, Callista, Lydia, and Adrienne Clark and Dexter Breitenfeld, several nieces and nephews, his mother in law Janet Rabitor of Uxbridge, sister in law Mary D'Ercole and her husband Frank of North Attleboro, brother in laws Peter Rabitor and his wife Cheryl of Gardner and Noel Rabitor and his wife Jennifer of Uxbridge.
Born in Boston, Erik was the son of the late Marcia (Hartshorn) Breitenfeld. He graduated from St. John's High School in Shrewsbury and later served in the U.S. Army.
For the past 7 years Erik was a production supervisor for Primary Colors in North Grafton.
Erik loved spending time with his family and friends, and was always the life of any party. He was an avid Patriots and NASCAR fan and enjoyed watching the games and going to races in NH. Erik also had a special talent of fixing things and creating inventions. Along with his wife, they enjoyed exploring the world, including their most recent family trip to Costa Rica.
A "Celebration of Life" will be held on January 1st beginning at 3:00PM at the Hillcrest Country Club, Pleasant St. in Leicester. There are no calling hours.
