DUDLEY - Lillian A. (Martel) Grzyb, 91, died Sunday, December 27, 2015 in St. Camillus Health Center, Northbridge. Her husband of 23 years, Theodore J. Grzyb, died in 1971.
She leaves a daughter, Donna M. Gauthier and her husband Michael F. Gauthier of Dudley, with whom she lived; a granddaughter, Michelle Gauthier of Charleston, SC; 3 sisters, Irene Grzyb of Dudley, Lorraine Gervais of Chepachet, RI, and Geraldine Cole of Harrisville, RI; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Eugene and Raymond Martel and by 2 sisters, Louise Lefler and Rosalie Tessier.
She was born in Worcester and raised in Webster, the oldest of the 8 children of Eugene P. and Rose Ann (Lemay) Martel and attended Bartlett High School. She moved to Dudley in 1948 at the time of her marriage.
Mrs. Grzyb worked as a stitcher at Webster Shoe Company and at other shoe factories before retiring in 1973.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 2, 2016 in the First Congregational Church of Dudley, 135 Center Road, with Pastor John R. White officiating. There are no calling hours. Donations in her name may be made to the First Congregational Church of Dudley, 135 Center Road, Dudley, MA 01571.
