Martha Laverne McAdams Willingham, age 98, died Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Yalobusha General Nursing Home in Water Valley, MS. She was born August 23, 1917 to the late T.W. and Lillian Lewis McAdams. Martha graduated from Jeff Davis High School in Water Valley and was a member of Sylva Rena Baptist Church. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed cooking, taking care of her family and spending time with her grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 2:00 pm in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks. Burial will be in the Sylva Rena Cemetery in Yalobusha County, MS. Martha is survived by her daughter, Beverly Fitts of Water Valley, MS; five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Wilson “Hickey” Willingham; her son, Kenneth Willingham; two sisters, Ruby Walters and Lillian Margaret McAdams; and her brother, Lewis McAdams. | ||||
