Obituary

Frank J. Guerra, 91, of Worcester died Saturday, December 5th in the Meadows of Leicester. He leaves his wife of 69 years, Grace (Ceffalo) Guerra; two sons, Frank J. Guerra and his wife, Marion of Paxton and Michael Angelo Guerra and his wife, Doreen of Barre; a daughter, Marilyn L. Benander and her husband, Carl of Auburn; five grandchildren, Matthew Rabidou and his wife, GiGi, Carl Michael Benander and his wife, Sophie, Dan Guerra and his wife, Stephanie, Justin Guerra and Alicia Benander; and four great grandchildren, Anna Rabidou, James Rabidou, John Guerra and Madelyn Benander.
Mr. Guerra was born in Worcester the son of Angelo and Laura Guerra and graduated from Boys Trade. Frank was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II and participated in the Battle of the Bulge. Mr. Guerra worked at the Worcester Airport for over 30 years, retiring in 1983.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Alhambra Council 88, Worcester Lodge of Elks #243, the Greendale YMCA and he also enjoyed spending time at the VFW Post. Frank enjoyed spending his time dancing, gardening, telling stories and watching football especially the Patriots. He repaired everything he could and couldn’t do enough for his children. Mr. Guerra appreciated the time he spent at his trailer and loved taking the grandchildren camping while they were at Old Orchard Beach.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 8th from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue followed by a funeral service at 11:30 AM. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
