John W. Riopel, Jr.,36, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at U.Mass/Memorial Hospital, University Campus in Worcester.
He leaves behind his daughter, Emily L. Riopel and his former wife Karyn E. (Petkiewicz) Riopel both of Charlton, his parents, John W. Riopel, Sr. of Nebraska and Leda (Chaisson) Riopel of Worcester, 2 sisters, Leda ‘Missy’ Guillette and her husband Norman of Hill, New Hampshire and Tammy Murdock and her husband Michael of Marlborough, and many nieces and nephews as well as 3 grand nieces.
John was born in Worcester and raised in Webster and graduated from Bay Path Regional Vocational High School in Charlton and worked for several years as an electrician. He then worked as a maintenance mechanic for the Frito-Lay Co. in Dayville, CT.
John enjoyed fishing and cooking.
John’s Funeral Service will be Monday, December 7, 2015 at 11AM at the Federated Church of Charlton, 64 Main St. in Charlton.
Calling Hours will be Sunday, December 6, 2015 from 1-4PM in the ROBERT J. MILLER-CHARLTON FUNERAL HOME, 175 Old Worcester Rd., in Charlton.
