McNULTY, Frederick Thomas of West Roxbury, died peacefully at home on November 23rd. He was 90 years old. Fred was born in Jamaica Plain, MA on November 27, 1924. He was a member of the Greatest Generation, and proudly served in the Navy on PT Boat 242 during World War II, where he received the Purple Heart for wounds suffered in combat.

Fred worked for the United States Postal Service for over 35 years and retired as Manager of the Roslindale Post office in 1983.

Fred leaves his beloved wife of 59 years, Evelyn (O'Keefe), and six children, Mary Hayes of Naples, FL, Thomas and his wife Grace of Charlestown, Carol Gregory of Mansfield, Paul and his wife Janet of Medfield, Claire Logan and her husband Joe, of Pleasanton, CA and Steven of Dedham, MA. Cherished “Papa” to 11 grandchildren, Brian, Allison and Kristine McNulty, Katherine, Theodore and Elizabeth Gregory, Corinne, Juliet and Charlie Logan and Liam and Claire McNulty. Brother of the late Mary Cuddyer and Catherine (“Kitty”) Ahl. Beloved uncle to many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, November 29th from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Center Street, West Roxbury. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, November 30 at St. John Chrysostom, 4750 Washington St, West Roxbury MA. Interment will take place privately in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
