Leo G. Perry, age 83, of Englewood, Florida, formerly of Randolph passed away on Friday, November 20, 2015 at the Golden Living Center-Garden Place in Attleboro. He was the beloved husband of Anna M. (Donoian) Perry, to whom he was wed for the past 56 years.
Born in Lynn, MA on April 21, 1932, he was a loving son of the late Joseph and Mary (Massey) Perry.
He grew up in Lynn, was a graduate of St. Mary’s Boys High School in Lynn and honorably served his country as a member of the United States Navy from 1949-1954.
Prior to retiring, Mr. Perry was the proud owner of the Leo G. Perry Overhead Garage Co. in Randolph.
Leo was a member of the AMVETS Post 51 in Randolph, both the American Legion and AMVETS in Englewood, and was a member, past president and member of the Board of Trustees of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Florida.
Leo enjoyed playing golf, was an avid New England sports fan, enjoyed staying up on current affairs, crossword puzzles and was a longtime blood and platelet donor.
In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by devoted children Paul J. Frechette of Norton, Ann M. Tamulis and her husband David of Norton, Karen A. Marshall and her husband Robert of Sharon and the late Leo P. Frechette, who is survived by his wife Melody Frechette of Lakeville. He was the dear brother of Edward Perry of Florida and the late Raymond Perry, Geraldine Heigh and Dorothy Leavitt. He was the adoring grandfather of Michelle Striebel, Ryan Marshall, Christine Tamulis, Brendan Marshall, Stephen Tamulis, Samantha Tamulis, and is also survived by his cherished great grandchildren Shawn and Samantha Striebel.
His Funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Wednesday, November 25th at 9:00 A.M. from the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton, followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 1 Power St., Norton. Burial with military honors will follow at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday November 24th from 5-8 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home.
