John Richard Lee Sr. of Plymouth passed away on November 15, 2015. The son of the late Richard P and Ruth (Ferguson) Lee, he leaves his loving and caring wife, Kathleen (Tarmey) Lee and his 4 children, Jack Lee of Marshfield and New York City, Steve Lee and his wife Angie of San Jose, CA, Stacey (Lee) Whalen and her husband Larry of Plymouth and Dennis Lee and his wife Susan of Dorchester. John is predeceased by his sister, Myrna McPhee, and leaves his brother, Richard P Lee of Stoneham. John also leaves his grandchildren Kristin Lee, Jessica (Lee) Wilcox, Stephanie Lee, Nikki Lee, Chris Hoffmeister, Briana Lee, Jason Lee, Alyssa Whalen, Hannah Whalen, Zachary Whalen, Connor Whalen, Jillian Lee and his great grandson Colton Willman. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
John was a graduate of Somerville High School and Boston State College. John was the consummate salesman and worked in a variety of sales jobs throughout his work life. Golf was one of his greatest passions and he found great joy on the course. A former season ticket holder, John could always be found glued to the nearest TV when his Patriots were playing.
Visiting hours will be on Thursday November 19 from 11:30 to 1:30 with a funeral service at 1;30 in the Davis Funeral Home 619 State Road (Rte. 3A) Plymouth, (Manomet). Burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery Bourne. In lieu of flowers donations in John’s memory may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant St. Watertown, MA 02472
