Obituary

James Matatall of Kingston, formerly of Weymouth, died peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on November 14th .Born in Melrose, MA on May 21, 1933, he was a son of the late James A. and Arria S. (Wonson) Matatall. He was educated in the Weymouth schools and a graduate of Northeastern University. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict as a member of the 82nd Airborne Division specializing as both a Paratrooper and Army Medic. Later serving with the Army Reserves. James worked as a CAD Engineer for Tech-Etch in Plymouth for over 45 years. He was active with the Town of Kingston, serving on the Kingston School Committee, and as the town Registrar. He was also part of the Plymouth County Republican Bd., and a former member of the Weymouth Jaycee’s.

James was the beloved husband of the late Jeanne (Ford) Matatall and is the loving father of Cynthia Matatall of Kingston, Lynne Fowler and her husband Steve of Vermont, Michelle Brown and her husband Donald of Kingston, Deborah Sylvia and her husband Kevin of Kingston, Pamela Tosi of Plymouth and Renee Besegai of Plymouth. Cherished grandfather of 9 and great grandfather of 1. Brother of Robert Matatall of Seattle, WA.

Visiting hours in the Davis Funeral Home 373 Court St. North Plymouth on Wednesday from 4 till 7 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11 am in the Funeral home followed by burial in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
