Jeffrey Paul Luce, age 69, died unexpectedly in his home in Plymouth on Nov. 12, 2015. He was the devoted husband of Linda L. (Lindquist) Luce of Plymouth. Born in Norwood, MA on June 28, 1946, Mr. Luce was the son of the late Kenneth and Dorothea (Fandrey) Luce. He was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, Kingston and Cape Cod Community College, Western New England College where he received his MBA and Roger Williams College where he received his BS degree. Following his high school education Jeff entered the US Navy where he proudly served during the Vietnam War serving on the USSS CVA 62 Independence from 68-72. He had lived in Brewster prior to moving to Plymouth. He worked for the Cape and Vineyard Electric Company he retired from NSTAR as a Community Relations Specialist at age 63. His hobbies included golf and serving nonprofits across the cape and islands. He was chairman of the board for the National Marine Life Center and at one time sat on 27 other boards notably Commonwealth Utilities Employees Credit Union and Cape Cod Community College. Besides his wife of 47 years, Linda, Jeffrey was the loving father of Kenny Luce of Buzzards Bay and Kim Mallios and her husband Pete of Plymouth. He was beloved brother of Janet Mullarkey of Buzzards Bay, uncle of Michael Hyde and Brett Wallace and cherished grandfather of Jeffrey T. Luce, Caroline Luce, Mackenna Luce, Mia Mallios, Loukas Mallios and Matthaios Mallio. Visiting hours will be held in the Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Rd., Manomet(Plymouth) on Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday morning from 10:30 to 12:00 followed by a service in the funeral home at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:15p.m. Donations in his memory may be made to the National Marine Life Center, 120 Main Street, Buzzards Bay, MA 02532.
