Obituary

Webster- Our beloved Mother, grandmother and friend to so many, Marie Carol Cervizzi Hyland passed away on November 11, 2015 at the age of 94 with her daughters at her side. She was the last remaining child of nine born to Maria (Perone) Cervizzi and Bernado Cervizzi (of Naples Italy) who lived in East Boston. Marie was born on May 18, 1921 and was predeceased by her husband Leroy James Hyland of Webster. Marie and Leroy married in 1946, residing in Peabody MA spending every summer on Webster Lake. They eventually retired, moving to the lake embracing the community of Webster.

Marie graduated from Fisher College with a degree in business. She was employed as a secretary in the Peabody, MA School system. She was involved in the Killdeer Island Club, running the 130 Club for many years; was a member of the WLA since inception; the Tuesday Women's' Club; St Louis Women's Guild and the Friends of the Corbin Library.

She was a treasure to everyone she knew; a kind, caring, loving woman whose infectious smile touched all who knew her. She was a lady of style and grace who always put family first. An excellent cook, she was famous for her sauce and meatballs, which is now on the menu at Red's in Harwich. Marie leaves three daughters who loved her dearly; Linda Littleton, Patricia Dupre, and Maureen Cimoch and her husband Joe, all of Webster. Marie adored her three granddaughters; Colleen Cimoch/Smith and her husband Cameron Smith of Boston, Brooke Littleton of Boston and Christine Cimoch of Webster.

Her life will be celebrated with a Mass at St Louis Church- 16 Lake Street Webster on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 10 am. Kindly meet directly at the church.
The Family will receive condolences from friends at St. Louis Church, from 9:15 AM - 10 AM prior to the Mass.
