Obituary

Robert V. Mahoney of Plymouth (Manomet) died on November 9th in Life Care Center of Plymouth. Born in Medford, MA on February 6, 1949 a son of the late John and Marie (Sullivan) Mahoney. He was educated in Plymouth and a graduate of Plymouth – Carver High School and attended Bentley College. Robert served with the U.S. Marine Corp. as a Cpl. during the Vietnam War and was a two time recipient of the Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. Robert worked as a Butcher in area Markets.

He is survived by his daughters Stacey L. Roberto and her husband James of Duxbury and Julie Hathaway and her Fiancée Jeff Sturtevant of Brewster. Brother of John Mahoney of Manomet, Sally Avitable of Hanover, William Mahoney of Maine, and Michael Mahoney of Florida. Cherished grandfather of Faith, Talia, Cullen, Saige, Kyle and Samantha.

Funeral from the Davis Funeral Home 619 State Rd. Manomet on Monday at 9 am followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Bonaventure Church in Manomet at 10:00 am. Visiting hours on Sunday from 4 til 7 pm.
