WORCESTER-Janet F. (Delman)Mahoney, 83, of Worcester passed away Tuesday, November 3 at home, surrounded by her family.
Her husband of 50 years, James E. Mahoney, Sr. died in 2000. She leaves six children, James E. Mahoney, Jr. of Worcester, Victoria A. Loyko and her husband, Frank of Seattle, WA, Sharon M. Iaccarino and her husband, Joseph of Worcester, Gary M. Mahoney and his wife, Kathleen of Holden, Susan P. Donahue and her husband, Jack of Worcester and Sean P. Mahoney and his wife, Katherine of Worcester; fifteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five siblings, Edward, Delman, Esther Delman, Carol Astukewicz, Mary Gail Lee and Tom Delman and nieces and nephews. Four siblings, Shirley Koppel, Bruce Delman, Virginia Provencher and August Delman predeceased her. She was born in Southbridge, daughter of Edward and Josephine (Kowaleskie) Delman.
Janet was a banquet waitress for several Worcester are restaurants, including the former Sheraton Lincoln and the El Morocco. She was a member of Saint John's Church. Janet enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. She found joy in spending time with her family, especially her loving grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held Monday, November 9 from CALLAHAN~FAY~CASWELL Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 11AM in St. John's Church, 40 Temple St. Burial will be private in St. John's Cemetery. Visiting Hours are Sunday,November 8 from 3 to 6PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. John's Church, 40 Temple St., Worcester, 01604.
