Obituary

WEBSTER – Carol A. Paine, 76, died suddenly Wednesday, October 28, 2015 in her home.
She leaves a son, Leeland J. Jacques, Jr. of Jefferson; a daughter, Kerrysue B. Jacques of Webster; 3 grandchildren, Elisha-Ann Jacques, Zachary Jacques and Christopher Jacques; and 2 great-grandchildren, Kaydin and Lidiya. She was preceded in death by her former husband Leeland J. Jacques, Sr. of Jefferson last December, by her brother Stanley Paine and by her sister Beverly Paine.
She was born and raised in Worcester, the daughter of Ervin R. and Caroline M. (Holder) Paine. She lived in Worcester for many years and then in Spencer for 15 years, moving here in 2013.
Carol was first a mental health assistant at Worcester State Hospital. She then sewed high-end clothing for Cottage Tailor in Worcester. She inspected circuit boards at Sprague Electric, also in Worcester. She retired as an inspector at Hebert’s Candy Mansion in 2004.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Worcester when she lived there. She excelled at sewing and crocheting and enjoyed going to the beach and traveling. She was an avid bingo player.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 4:00 PM Sunday, November 1, in Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street. Donations in her name may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
