Clasby, James A. of Ashland, October 24, 2015. Beloved husband of Mary E. (Gormley). Cherished brother of Edward Clasby and his wife Mary, Richard Clasby and his wife Mary Jo. Devoted uncle to many nieces and nephews. Jim proudly served in the United States Marine Corp and was a graduate of Boston College where he played on both the football and baseball teams. Jim started his career with IBM, then was a Partner with Ernst & Young before starting his own consulting firm. His final career move was as the President and CEO of Mira, Inc. For many years, Jim served several charitable organizations, in particular the American Red Cross, as well as a board member for the Center for Blood Research and the Schepens Eye Research Institute. Jim was a former member of Brae Burn Country Club and Bald Peak Colony Club. Jim will be remembered as a constant and true gentleman whose kindness and generosity has left an indelible print on the lives of many; he will be sorely missed by his family. Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St., West Roxbury, Friday, Oct. 30th at 9am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Theresa Church at 11:30am. Visiting hours from 9am – 11am at the Funeral Home prior to Mass. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery.
