Worcester – Sally A. (Richardson) Marconi, 76, of Worcester, passed away in her home on Wednesday, October 21st with her family and friends by her side.
Mrs. Marconi was married for 35 years to the late Peter P. Marconi who passed away in 1998. She is survived by her two sons, Peter “Skip” Marconi and his wife Gail of Holden and Matthew Marconi of University Place, Washington; a daughter, Shari Oliver and her husband Michael of Jefferson; a sister, Judy Hardwick and her husband Bart of Francestown, NH; 6 grandchildren, Nicholas Marconi, Emily Oliver, Madison Oliver, Evan Marconi, Alyssa Marconi and Jillian Marconi, an aunt, several cousins, and many nephews and nieces.
Sally was born in Keene, NH, daughter of the late Raymond and Frances (Parker) Richardson and is also predeceased by a sister, Joan Logan. She attended and graduated from Keene High School and then went on to work as a keypunch clerk for the Peerless Insurance Company, while also working as a production assistant for WKNE in New Hampshire. After marrying Pete and moving to Worcester, Sally became a homemaker, raising her three children and attending their various activities.
Mrs. Marconi was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church, where she regularly attended mass, most often on Saturdays at 4pm. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and loved living in the neighborhood she called home for 47 years. She also loved her little dog Maxwell who was her faithful companion for 12 years.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Laura’s Guardian Angels, especially Patty and Vicky, for the exceptional love and care that was provided to Sally.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, October 29th from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. with a Funeral Mass at 10 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church 1222 Main St. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, October 28th from 5 to 8 PM in the funeral home. Memorial contributions in memory of Sally may be made to Our Lady of the Angels Church “Family Center Campaign” 1222 Main St. Worcester, MA 01603.
