Obituary

SPENCER: Frank E. Jones, 93, died Wednesday, Oct. 21 in UMass Memorial Hospital, Lake Ave. Worcester after a brief illness.
His wife Anne G. (Lacroix) Jones died in 1996. He leaves three sons; John T. Jones and his wife Yolande of Hardwick, David E. Jones and his partner Monica Casavant of New Braintree and Paul F. Jones and his wife Eva of New Braintree, a daughter Debora A. Barnes and her husband Roger of Spencer, a brother Harry Jones of Rhode Island, five grandchildren; Roger III, Adam, Justine, Scott and John Jr. and two great-grandchildren Jace & Bryn.
Mr. Jones was born in Holbrook, son of Frank F. Jones and Arlene (Mansfield) Dennis. He worked in construction for many years at Perrini Construction, E.J. Cross Construction, Grainger and Morgan Construction he also had worked for the Spencer Highway Dept. and Klevin Shoe. He served his country during WW II in the United States Army. He served on the Spencer Fire Dept. for 38 years as a volunteer firefighter. He was a member of VFW Post 7556 Rochdale. Frank was first and foremost a family man and was an extremely hard worker. After retiring he helped his son David do stone work. He spent a lot of time with his children in their various life pursuits. One of his passions were military trucks, shows and parades. His life was enriched by his close friends, Mark DiCesare, Mr. Orne, his buddies at Dunkin Donuts, his VFW friends and his "lunch lady" Carla Martinez.
The Funeral will be held Saturday, Oct. 24 at 11:00 AM in J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer. Calling hours will precede the service from 9:30-11:00 AM, so that people can share their memories of Frank with the family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
