Obituary

Worcester – Louise D. (Mallett) Gilbert, 71, of Worcester, died on Tuesday, October 20th in the Beaumont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after an illness.

Mrs. Gilbert was married to the late John L. Gilbert Sr. for 43 years. She is survived by two sons, Kenneth E. Gilbert and John L. Gilbert Jr.; a daughter, Diana L. Gilbert; 4 brothers, Raymond Mallett, Donald Mallett, Edward Mallett and Anthony Mallett all of Worcester; two sisters, Linda Booker of Auburn and Viola Rodriguez of Worcester; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. Louise was born in Worcester, daughter of the late George A. Mallett Sr. and Dorothy P. (Tebo) Mallett and is also predeceased by 4 brothers.

She worked in housekeeping department for many hotels in the Worcester and retired from the Clarion Suites Hotel. Louise enjoyed many things throughout her lifetime, including, playing bingo and games on Facebook. Mrs. Gilbert was the happiest though when she was spending time with her family at the many gatherings they would have.

Calling hours are on Monday, October 26th from 10:30 to 12 Noon in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. with a funeral service to follow at 12 Noon.
