Gertrude (Kennedy) Crabtree, 90, of Dartmouth died October 11, 2015 at Alden Court Nursing Home.
She was the wife of the late Eugene S. Crabtree.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late John P. and Annie (Schelter) Kennedy, she lived in New Bedford before moving to Sol-E-Mar 17 years ago.
She was formerly employed by Woolworth's Department Store for many years until her retirement.
She was a member of St. James Seniors, St. Vincent dePaul Society and was a volunteer at Solanus Casey Food Pantry.
Survivors include her sister, Mary Castellina of New Bedford; a niece, Susan Rysz; 3 nephews, Stephen Castellina, Todd Crabtree and Kevin Crabtree; 3 great-nieces; a great-nephew; 3 great-great-nieces and a great-great-nephew.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th at 11 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Her family will receive guests on Wednesday from 10 - 11 AM prior to her service. Burial will be private.
