Maura (Captain, BPD Ret.) of West Roxbury and James and his wife Ellen of Norwood. Beloved Grampy to Jimmy, Kristen and Mike. Former husband of Mary of West Roxbury. Beloved brother of the late Anna Bachman, John, Margaret, Walter and Catherine O’Connor. Visiting hours will be held at the William J. Gormley Funeral Home 2055 Center St. West Roxbury on Tuesday October 6th from 4pm – 8pm. Relatives and friends invited. In World War II Joe flew out of England as an aerial gunner and bombardier in the 467th Bomb Group. Joe was the Past Commander and active member of VFW Post 722 in Jamaica Plain. A graduate of Bentley College Joe was an accountant, business manager and hospital finance director in and around the City of Boston. Interment Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
