Obituary

A. Patricia (Trainor) Bazinet, 97, of Worcester died Tuesday, September 29th in UMass-Memorial Hospital. Her husband of 42 years, Robert N. Bazinet died in 1989. She is survived by two sons, Robert F. Bazinet and his wife, Robin of North Grafton and Paul A. Bazinet and his wife,Nancy of Charlton; five grandchildren, Kelly DeCaire and her husband, Jamie, Keith Bazinet and his wife, Holly, Erin, Matthew and Colleen Bazinet; four great grandchildren, Mason, Colin and Lucy DeCaire and Brielle Bazinet; her sister-in-law and good friend, Helen Trainor of Worcester and many nephews and nieces; as well as many friends in Florida. Two brothers, Robert and Richard Trainor and her sister, Rita Hay predeceased her.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Arthur A. and Anna M. (Collins) Trainor and graduated from the former Commerce High School. Mrs. Bazinet had at one time worked for American Optical as a comptometer operator and later for the American Greeting Card Company. She was a member of St. George's Parish and a former member of St. Denis Parish in Douglas. Patricia enjoyed Bingo, playing cards, baking cookies and line dancing in Florida. She was an avid supporter of her grandchildren's sports participation and referred to herself as the oldest person on the sidelines. Her passion for New England sports teams especially the Red Sox was well known.
The family expresses their heartfelt appreciation for the compassionate care provided by the Lutheran Home, the services provided by Seniors Helping Seniors and the outstanding care provided by the nurses at UMass-Memorial Hospital.
Her funeral is Friday, October 2nd from O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with her funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 5 Spauldng Street. Her nephew Fr. Richard Trainor will be the celebrant. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday, October 1st from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
